Three instruments

A Real
Framework

Three-instrument protective framework designed to preserve the continuity of a dependent’s standing, evidence, and ability to participate in decisions affecting them.

Preserve the record.
Protect standing.
Limit authority.

Support stays support.
It doesn’t convert.

Instrument One

Standing Integrity

Holds the person in the system.

Instrument Two

Evidence Integrity

Preserves truth. Resists distortion.

Instrument Three

Process Integrity

Keeps the process open and functional.

Instrument One

Standing Integrity

The dependent keeps their standing

This instrument protects the continuity of a dependent’s standing, voice, participation, and ability to be understood on their own terms. A change in description does not silently become a change in standing.

It blocks attempts to convert

  • A disagreement into a loss of standing
  • Silence into consent
  • Dependence into surrender of voice
  • Support into unrelated authority
  • Characterization into established fact
  • A role into unlimited decision-making power
  • A changed relationship into erased history

It protects

  • The dependent’s own account
  • The right to participate and respond
  • Continuity of standing across time
  • The distinction between support and authority
  • The ability to disagree without disappearing

Standing does not disappear when the story changes. A record changes only by sourced correction.

Instrument Two

Evidence Integrity

The evidence keeps its distinct sources

This instrument protects the integrity of evidence by keeping sources, accounts, corroboration, contrary evidence, and corrections distinguishable. Evidence can contribute to one record without being silently transformed into another account.

It blocks attempts to convert

  • One account into the whole record
  • An omission into proof of absence
  • A characterization into evidence
  • Silence into agreement
  • A later account into the original history
  • Correction into erasure
  • Unverified material into established fact

It protects

  • Source provenance
  • Competing accounts
  • Corroborating evidence
  • Contrary evidence
  • Sourced corrections
  • The distinction between evidence and interpretation

Different sources. One traceable record.

Instrument Three

Process Integrity

The process keeps its sequence

This instrument protects the continuity of a process when disagreement, pressure, or an asserted emergency changes the circumstances. A change in pressure does not silently eliminate notice, response, review, decision, or reassessment.

It blocks attempts to convert

  • Pressure into skipped process
  • An exception into permanent authority
  • An emergency claim into unlimited scope
  • Intervention into the whole record
  • A decision into an unreviewable conclusion
  • Silence into agreement
  • A temporary condition into permanent procedure

It protects

  • Notice and opportunity to respond
  • A visible sequence of decisions
  • Review and reassessment
  • Defined exceptions
  • Return to ordinary process

Different sources. One traceable record.
